Ischia is an island in Italy that belongs to the archipelago of the Flegrean islands in the metropolitan city of Naples. Located at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples and a short distance from the islands of Procida and Vivara in the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is the largest of the Phlegrean islands and an important destination for international tourism. With its 62,327 inhabitants and 46.3 km², it is the third largest Italian island by population and the eighth largest by area.
